Smudge Spray For Body and Room Energy Clearing
Using smudging sprays is a great way to use the protection and cleansing traditional smudging wherever you go and is an easy alternative to traditional smudging with smudging herbs and sticks. It makes it quite easy for you to incorporate cleansing rituals into everyday life. Smudging with sprays it's also the best alternative for those who are sensitive to smoke.
Whenever you feel to cleanse yourself, your home, or any item you use of negative energies you can use smudging sprays. It’s not only the simple smokeless alternative of smudging, it’s also easy to carry it throughout your day.
The goal of smudging is to clear lingering energy that is different from what you may be intending for that space. You want to prepare the space for ceremony, the way you would clean your house, cook, and decorate when your family comes for a holiday. We are welcoming Great Spirit, angels, and ancestors to come and share clean space with us as well.
BESMUDGED Body and Room Spray can be used to clear your body, mind and sprit of any stagnation, or energetic disturbances within or surrounding you.
The Smudging Ritual:
Start at the front door of the home and light your smudge stick. Begin to move slowly around the home. Move mindfully and with care, walking clockwise around the entire interior perimeter of the home. Be sure to spray into even the hidden spaces, like inside closets, basements, and dark corners. If there are stairs, just go up or down when you encounter them so you can smudge the upper or lower levels in the same manner. Then keep moving clockwise until you meet the stairs again. Continue to go down or up the stairs and resume smudging on the main floor. When you arrive back at the front door, you can say the prayer. Visualize the entire home filled with bright white sunlight. Then speak your intention one last time to close the smudging ceremony.
Moving around a space like this is called “circumambulation.” It’s a practice that’s been done for centuries in ancient cultures to make a space more sacred.
A Smudging Prayer:
May your hands be cleansed, that they create beautiful things.
May your feet be cleansed, that they might take you where you most need to be.
May your heart be cleansed, that you might hear its messages clearly.
May your throat be cleansed, that you might speak rightly when words are needed.
May your eyes be cleansed, that you might see the signs and wonders of the world.
May this person and space be washed clean by the spray of these fragrant plants.
And may that same spray carry our prayers, spiraling, to the heavens.
